Women’s Self-Defence — North Shore Auckland
Structured four-session women-only course. Practical self-defence skills, at your own pace.
Sound familiar?
Most women who come to us feel curious — but also unsure whether this will feel right for them. Most options don’t quite fit: too aggressive, too sport-focused, or not built with women in mind.
This programme is built for exactly that. Women-only classes. Practical skills based on real situations, not sport or theory. No pressure. No expectation. Just a clear place to start — so you can begin to feel like someone who knows how to handle themselves, not just someone hoping nothing happens.
You don’t need to decide anything today — just start by getting the information.
What Does the Programme Cover?
The goal is to avoid trouble before it gets physical. But if avoidance isn’t possible, you’ll have an effective response — techniques that are simple, don’t rely on strength or size, and target vulnerable points rather than trying to overpower. Not sport, not theory. Built around real situations.
Awareness & Avoidance
How to read a situation early, set boundaries, and create distance — in the street, a car park, at night, or anywhere that doesn’t feel right. This is where most real-world safety comes from, and it’s what you’ll use most.
De-escalation
Verbal and practical techniques to manage a developing situation — how to disengage calmly, set a clear boundary, and reduce tension before anything escalates. Having options changes your response. When you’ve practised these in realistic scenarios, you’re less likely to freeze.
Effective Physical Response
If avoidance isn’t possible, you’ll have a clear response. Simple, direct techniques targeted at vulnerable points on an attacker — not relying on strength or size, just being accurate and decisive when it matters.
What You’ll Cover
Each session builds on the last — from spotting a problem early to knowing what to do if things go wrong. Calm, structured, and introduced step by step.
Session 1
“Avoid problems early. Move with intent.”
“I feel more aware already — I’m not just passive anymore.”
Session 2
“If someone grabs you, you know what to do.”
“I can get out. I’m not stuck or helpless.”
Session 3
“If you need to act, you can.”
“I can actually respond. I won’t freeze the same way.”
Session 4
“If you end up on the ground, you’re not stuck.”
“Even in a worst-case situation, I know what to do.”

Common Questions
No experience and no particular fitness level is needed. Classes are well-paced and structured so you build both from where you are. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end — you’ll feel comfortable from the first session.
Yes — these are women-only classes. The environment is calm, well-structured, and specifically designed for women who want to learn practical self-defence without the atmosphere of a mixed gym.
Yes. The first session runs as a standalone intro for $30 — 90 minutes, no obligation to continue. If you join the full course after that, the $30 comes off the total.
Krav Maga is particularly well-suited to women because it’s built around awareness, de-escalation, and practical response rather than size or strength. The techniques work in real situations regardless of the physical difference between you and an attacker.
No. Registering means we’ll send you information and let you know when the next session opens. You decide if and when you want to book. No obligation until you choose to book your intro session.

Classes are taught by Aaron and Brad — both KMG-certified instructors. Aaron has been teaching Krav Maga since 2010 (London first, Auckland since 2015). They teach with clarity and patience — no ego, no intensity for its own sake. Women make up a significant part of the training group and have done since the club began. Meet Aaron and Brad →
