Beginner Self-Defence Course — North Shore Auckland
Four sessions. Clear structure. Real self-defence skills — built from the beginning, not thrown in at the deep end.
Maybe you've looked at boxing or kickboxing — but it feels more like sport than self-defence. Maybe you've considered a gym programme — but circuits and weights don't teach you anything useful if something actually happens. And full martial arts gyms can feel intimidating, cliquey, or just not built for someone starting from scratch.
This beginner course is built for exactly that. Not sport. Not fitness. A real-world system — designed to give you a clear place to start and build from. But before we get into what's included — answer a few quick questions so we can make sure it's the right fit for you.
This is a beginner course built on the Krav Maga Global curriculum — the same system used by certified instructors worldwide. Four sessions, one per week, each building on the last. You'll know exactly what you're learning, why it matters, and what comes next.
By session four, most people move differently, react faster, and feel noticeably more confident — in and out of training.

What Students Say
“Since joining with no prior experience I’ve learnt many tactical skills — all of which have improved my assertiveness and confidence.”

“I’ve never been to any martial art classes before and with a bit of nervousness I attended my first class. I was amazed how friendly but professional the instructors are.”

Instructor Aaron has been teaching Krav Maga since 2010 — London first, Auckland since 2015. Over 1,000 students trained. Instructor Brad brings the same Krav Maga Global standard to every class. Formally qualified, internationally accredited, and genuinely invested in every person who walks through the door.
No experience and no particular fitness level is required. The course is structured to build both from where you are. You won't be thrown in at the deep end — you start at the beginning and progress logically from there.
Essentials follows a structured four-session curriculum — you start at the beginning and build logically from there. Dropping into open classes without foundations can feel disorienting. Essentials gives you those foundations in a clear, progressive order before you join ongoing training.
No. Completing the quiz means we'll send you information and let you know when the next intake opens. You decide if and when you want to book. There's no obligation at any point until you choose to book your intro session.
Yes. The first session is a standalone 90-minute intro for $30. There's no obligation to continue beyond that. If you decide to join the full four-session course, the $30 comes off the total — and you'll also get access to our training video library.
Most students continue into ongoing weekly classes. The course gives you the foundations to train confidently alongside more experienced students — and the progression from there is clear. There's no pressure to continue, but you'll likely find you want to.
Two minutes. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll send you everything you need to know — including when the next intake opens.
