The Essentials course is designed for adults who are completely new to Krav Maga and self defence. You might just be wanting to learn basics self defence in a short course, but this is also a natural pathway for you to transition to our ongoing classes should you want to continue at the end.
The accompanying video course breaks down key techniques so that you can review these at home in your own time.
You don’t need to be fit, fast, or confident before you begin. The Essentials course is where those things are built — gradually, through practical training and supportive coaching — so you can move forward feeling capable rather than overwhelmed.
Many people considering self defence training feel unsure or nervous — that’s normal. The course is built to guide you step-by-step. You’ll train in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment where the focus is on practical skills you can use in real life.
Training is led by experienced instructors in a supportive, no-ego environment, with a strong focus on safety, confidence, and progressive learning.
The next course starts 28 February 2026 with a 1.5-hour Beginners Intro Session.
In this first session, you’ll meet your instructor, connect with the other participants, and begin learning the foundations of Krav Maga self defence training in a supportive, structured environment.
This session sets you up perfectly for the training that follows.
After the intro, you’ll have access to up to three classes per week, and you can attend any of these over the 4-week course period — giving you flexibility while building consistency.
To support your progress, the course also includes an accompanying video program. Each week, you’ll receive guided breakdown videos covering the key techniques you’ll be learning — so you can arrive prepared, train with clarity, and reinforce your skills between classes.

You can come to any of these sessions. We recommend 2 sessions per week for best progress but you can choose what suits your timetable (1,2 or 3 per week).

No — you’ll learn at your own pace.
What if I miss a class?
The course is designed so you can come to any of the 3 available weekly classes. However, we recommend you at least try to come to the Sat 9-10am class.
What's the Difference between the Essentials Course and regular classes?
Both are options to start Krav Maga. Essentials course is particularly suitable for people who might be a bit nervous about participating
